It seems as though winter arrived overnight!
We woke up to find ourselves in a whole new world of white. The first major snow of the season has fallen -- 5 inches and counting, with big, floppy, wet snowflakes spiralling down from the sky. Because we were spoiled last year with a mild winter, it has been said that it will be a rough winter this year. No kidding! Snow like this usually doesn't come until late December or January.
We are so glad to have our car back in time for the snow. Now, instead of avoiding deer -- by the way, we were so close to hitting another deer the other day; thank God we didn't! -- we can try avoiding making donuts on the road or falling into roadside ditches.
Yet...despite all the inconveniences that snow may bring, it always remains so beautiful, pure, serene and magical to me. I love the seasons, and I love the Creator-Artist who gave us the seasons.
Maybe we'll get a snow picture up here sometime.
