We are getting ready to make the move down to Dallas and begin classes at Dallas Theological Seminary. Derek is enrolled in the four-year Master of Theology program; Chantal is enrolled in the one-year Certificate of Biblical Studies program.
God has graciously provided grad-student housing for us on campus, which is more convenient and economical than living off campus. This eliminates the need for making a trip down to scout out apartments beforehand, or staying with someone before we can move in. Now, all we need to do is arrive and move in! We had heard that the waiting list for this apartment complex was a year long, and we only applied in March. God provides!
Our tentative plan is to drive down to Dallas at the beginning of August and move into our apartment. Orientation is Aug. 24-25, then classes start. We will be looking for part-time work in addition to doing some telecommuting work.
We will be sending out a prayer letter regarding seminary soon. In the meantime, we would still appreciate your prayers! Please pray that we would:
- Make the best of our time and finish strong here at GoodSeed.
- Have good times with those we will be saying goodbye to.
- Be able to get ready and pack wisely.
- Depend on God throughout this busy time of transition.
