7 months
Wow. Evan is another month older! Blogging on Evan month by month definitely makes me realize how fast time flies.
This month, Evan has been eating more solids and trying different kinds of fruits and vegetables. So far he's had sweet potato, peas, avocado, banana, prunes, applesauce and pears, and he definitely has a preference for some over the others! He can sit up and play on his own for longer periods of time. He loves blocks, books (especially ones with photos of people) and paper of any kind. Too bad Mommy doesn't let him play with paper because it always ends up in his mouth.
He did great on his first plane ride to Atlanta to visit Auntie Nora and Uncle Leslie (Derek's sister and brother-in-law) over Thanksgiving. In Atlanta, Evan also met his Great Aunt Grace and Uncle Danny (Chantal's aunt and cousin). He got to hear the piano and violin being played for the first time--a special treat by Nora and Leslie's friends who played for us on Thanksgiving Day. He LOVED it and kept trying to "sing" along while waving his arms about. (Does this mean he inherited Daddy's music genes? We hope so!)
As for us...
Before leaving on our Atlanta trip, Derek was invited to preach for the first time at our church as part of his internship. His sermon was on Hebrews 11:39-12:3. He did great!
Right now we are waist deep in school work, trying to complete those papers, projects and finals. This time of the year is always busy and physically/mentally draining as the semester draws to a close. Please pray for our health and for us to finish the semester strong. Pray also for Derek as he will also be teaching a Sunday school class in the latter half of December into January.
More pictures to come!
