January photo update

What a way to start the new year! During our break, we visited Idaho and Alberta and spent time with our old friends and the GoodSeed family.

We got to see dear friends such as...

Jared, Leeann and Summer (and Adrian the German Shepherd)

Jim, Les and Addison (and Bandit the Shizhu)

John and Janice, Troy and Naomi (plus Andrew, who is not pictured, and Ellie and Adelaine, who were asleep when we took this picture)

and the whole U.S. GoodSeed gang (pictured here: Karyn, Rachel, Tom, Russ, Faith, John K, Ken) and their families, plus Barney and Lloyd (not pictured)

Thank you for all your hospitality and kindness!

We got to meet the newest (and very cute) members of our friends' families...

Adelaine

Addison

and Summer!

We stayed up late and played Settlers of Catan (with Jared winning almost every single time).

We revisited old favorites, like the Coeur d'Alene lake and resort...

...and relished the snow before flying back to Dallas.

We thank God for a fun and relaxing trip and lots of good fellowship!

Meanwhile, back in Dallas...

We celebrated our dear sister Karen's birthday...

...together with friends Peter and Chimgee (all the while missing Elaine, Dayne and Jean, who were back in Hong Kong).

We spent an evening of "inculturation" listening to the Dallas Symphony Orchestra play works by Leonard Bernstein (tickets courtesy of DTS).

We had our SF small group over for pizza and more Settlers of Catan (yeah!).

We celebrated another year of blessings in our lives on my birthday. Here we are at Maggiano's, just like old times!

We thank God for His provision and for good friends, both near and far!

In other news...

Spring semester officially started for us on January 14. We are taking a full load of classes and preparing for the baby (currently at Week 24). As school picks up, the next few months of our blog may not be as "interesting" in terms of photos, but things will be crazy...as they usually are in seminary. Please continue to pray for us and keep in touch!
