Although I was glad to get away from bitter, cold winters when I initially moved to Texas, strangely enough, I found myself beginning to miss the cooler weather and the snow.
After a few muggy weeks in November, a cold front came sweeping down from the north. Yesterday, the temperatures dropped from the 70s to the 30s and it starting sleeting, then snowing by mid-afternoon! This morning, I was delighted to find a light dusting of white all over campus and enjoyed my walk to class in the sunny, crisp 26-degree weather. Ahh...just like one of those beautiful winter mornings in Chicago.
Snow in Texas! Who would've imagined? I love it.

Soon after writing this, I became aware that a major winter storm hit the Midwest today. NOT a beautiful winter morning for those of you in Chicago! It's probably from the same weather system that brought snow to Texas. I am reading the news updates and keeping you guys up there in prayer!
